01 · Scope
What this policy covers
This policy applies to information AnswerBack may receive when a person visits answerback.online, requests the free 14-day pilot or starts a paid plan, calls the AnswerBack line, receives or replies to a follow-up text, or communicates with the AnswerBack team. Linkedd LLC, a Montana LLC, d/b/a AnswerBack. AnswerBack is a brand of Linkedd LLC. Linkedd LLC d/b/a AnswerBack is the service provider for these interactions. Who is responsible for your information: AnswerBack is a brand of Linkedd LLC, a Montana limited liability company (file no. C1631496), 226 S Cruise Ave, Helena, MT 59601. Linkedd LLC is responsible for (the controller of) the personal information described in this policy. AnswerBack is a managed answering service: calls forwarded to AnswerBack’s line are answered by AnswerBack, and the caller’s details are passed to the plumbing business. A follow-up text is sent only if the caller agrees during an answered call. It is not a promise of a particular availability, appointment booking, diagnosis, dispatch, or other capability.
02 · Information
Information we may collect
Depending on how you interact with AnswerBack, we may receive:
Form and pilot details
Your name, business name and other business details, email address, service area, how you handle missed calls, and what you would like to improve when you submit the pilot request form.
Call and text details
Your phone number, name, service address, callback details, and a brief description of a plumbing issue when you call the AnswerBack line, agree to a follow-up text, or reply. Calls are recorded and transcribed, so we also receive the recording and transcript of the call and any text message content.
Operational metadata
Information about a call or text such as date and time, direction or status, the number involved, delivery or reply status, and consent or opt-out records. This helps operate, troubleshoot, and document the communication.
Checkout and billing information
The pilot is free and does not use checkout. If you start a paid plan, AnswerBack receives the subscription and payment status, amount, currency, customer name, email, phone, billing address, your checkout consent record (time and terms version), and checkout or subscription identifiers needed to provide and bill the service. Stripe’s hosted checkout handles payment details; AnswerBack does not ask for or store full card numbers or security codes through this site.
Technical information
The site and its hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, and the page requested, in short-term logs for security and availability. Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled for this site: Cloudflare adds its small measurement script to pages it serves to browsers, which reports aggregated visit data (pages viewed, referrer, browser and device type, approximate country, and page-load timing). It does not set cookies or use local storage, does not fingerprint visitors or track them across sites, and the data is not sold or used for advertising; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. This site does not run session replay or advertising pixels. The website assistant runs in your browser and does not send your questions to AnswerBack; still, do not put sensitive information in it.
We ask for information that is relevant to the request. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details, government identification numbers, medical information, or other sensitive information in a form, text, or chat.
03 · Purpose
How we use information
- Respond and follow up. We use contact and business details to review a pilot request, reply to questions, and contact you about that request or the pilot conversation you asked to start.
- Provide the answering service. We use call recordings, transcripts, caller-provided details, and message content to answer calls, pass the caller’s details to the plumbing business, send a follow-up text the caller agreed to, and check call quality.
- Operate and improve the service. We use call/text status, timestamps, consent and opt-out records, and relevant request details to deliver communications, honor preferences, troubleshoot, verify behavior, and evaluate the pilot.
- Bill a paid plan. We use limited checkout and subscription information to start and bill a plan you opted into, process cancellations and refunds, respond to payment or support questions, and maintain business records.
- Protect people and the service. We may use information to prevent misuse, investigate security or delivery problems, enforce applicable terms, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
05 · Your choices
Access, correction, or deletion
You may ask what personal information we have about you, request a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may also ask us to stop a particular follow-up or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for that communication. For privacy and data questions, contact AnswerBack at hello@answerback.online or by calling +1 334 986 3795. Please identify the information or communication you mean and use an address or number we can reasonably associate with the request. We may need to verify the request to protect someone else’s information.
We will review and respond to requests under applicable law and the service’s actual records. Deletion may be limited where information is needed for a transaction, security, fraud prevention, dispute, legal requirement, or to maintain an opt-out record.
California-style requests
This section is a practical request path, not a claim that AnswerBack has been reviewed for or is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act or any other particular privacy law. A California resident may submit a request for categories or specific pieces of personal information, correction, deletion, or information about disclosures using the contact methods above. We will verify and handle the request as required by applicable law, without discriminating against someone for making a privacy request.
06 · Phone and SMS
Consent and opt-out
The pilot request form asks for consent to be contacted about the request. Phone and text communications may also depend on the caller’s interaction with the AnswerBack line and any consent required for the communication. Consent is not a promise that every call will be answered or that a human appointment or plumbing service will result.
For AnswerBack texts, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See the SMS Terms & Consent Policy for the messaging details. You may also make a clear opt-out request by replying in the conversation or calling +1 334 986 3795. We record opt-out and consent preferences and will not manually restart text follow-up after an opt-out unless you clearly re-consent through an appropriate process. A STOP request does not replace safety guidance: if there is immediate, life-threatening danger, call 911.
A follow-up text is sent only if the caller agrees during an answered call; AnswerBack does not send automatic texts after missed or unanswered calls. Calls to the AnswerBack line are recorded and transcribed by our call-handling and messaging provider for security and quality assurance. Callers hear this notice at the start of the call: “This call may be recorded for security and quality assurance purposes.” Recordings and transcripts are used to pass the caller’s details to the plumbing business, to protect the service, and to check call quality, and are deleted after 90 days unless they are needed for a dispute (see section 07). The plumbing business, not AnswerBack, returns calls.
07 · Retention and security
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, or to resolve disputes. The typical periods below explain what each period means for the information covered.
| Information | Typical period and meaning |
|---|---|
| Pilot, inquiry, and contact data | 12 months after last meaningful contact, including name, phone, email, and initial-outreach notes, unless the person becomes a customer or a legal reason requires longer retention. |
| Call and text logs | 12 months for logs related to outreach or service. |
| Call recordings and transcripts | Deleted after 90 days, unless a specific recording or transcript is needed for a dispute, complaint, legal claim, or legal requirement, in which case it is kept only until that matter is resolved. |
| Opt-out / do-not-contact records | As long as needed to honor the request, retaining only the minimum information needed to prevent further contact. |
| Payment and transaction records | 7 years for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention needs. |
| Technical / system logs | A 30-day rolling window for IP, device, error, and security logs, unless a longer period is needed for security investigation, legal process, or service integrity. |
At the end of each applicable period, we delete or de-identify the information. Exceptions may apply for legal holds, pending disputes, valid legal requests, legal or accounting needs, security investigation or service integrity, or the minimum opt-out record needed to prevent further contact. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so subject to these exceptions.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and service. No website, phone system, text message, email, or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure. Avoid sending sensitive information through these channels, and understand that communications may be exposed to risks outside AnswerBack’s control, including a misdirected message, a compromised device, carrier or provider failure, or unauthorized access.
08 · Boundaries
Children and sensitive situations
AnswerBack is a business service for plumbing businesses, not a service directed to children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.
AnswerBack does not diagnose plumbing emergencies, provide repair instructions, guarantee an appointment, or claim that a plumber has been dispatched. For a life-threatening emergency, call 911. Share only the details needed for a clear next step and human follow-up.
09 · Updates
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the AnswerBack service, communication channels, or information practices change. The “Last updated” date above will change when we revise it. Material changes should be communicated in a reasonable way before they are relied on where appropriate.
Privacy and data questions, privacy requests, and concerns can be sent to hello@answerback.online. You may also call +1 334 986 3795. For the plain-language contact and complaint path, see the Contact page.
